We placed outbound telemarketing calls and her communication skills training were very simple. We were to speak clearly, get to the point quickly and most importantly, we were to listen to the customer.
Believing in any product you are selling is very important. The customer can see and hear the enthusiasm in your presentation. It is the same way when giving a lecture or selling widgets. Communicating to your audience does not require a lot of skill. Be concise, thorough, clear, and do it in a coherent and orderly manner. Draw your audience in. Let them feel your passion about your products. Watch and listen to their response. Take the time to listen and answer every question they have.
These methods work whether you are speaking live, on the phone or in an e-mail.
